As a rather new Chinese band, Owl &Boys (猫头音) are rather particular on the scene due not only to the makeup of the band itself (3 Mandarin-speaking internationals from all over the world and two local Chinese) but also to the clearly western-influenced Mandarin indie-pop they have been producing. Their first EP -《谁的你》, released October 2014, is a promising hopeful for the band, which finally has the potential to drag Mandarin indie-pop music into the modern, international world. It is different than anything you've heard before, and definitely worth a listen.
